ATF investigating federal explosives magazine burglary, offering reward for information

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisville Field Division, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), is investigating a theft from an explosives storage facility.

According to a release, explosives were stolen from a storage facility at a construction site in the 9400 block of Old Bardstown Road in Louisville early Wednesday morning.

The explosives were reported missing later Wednesday morning by staff after discovering the facility had been burglarized.

According to the release, the theft is described as “a theft of explosives from an explosive magazine.”

ATF is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
