Area seniors participate in wheelchair Super Bowl
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Local seniors spent part of their day partaking in an unconventional Super Bowl weekend celebration.
Seniors at Signature Healthcare of Bowling Green played a game they called Wheelchair Super Bowl.
Seniors were able to play different games in teams such as throwing a referee flag, catching a football and racing in their wheelchairs.
There were also cheerleaders who performed “Footloose” at halftime.
The seniors said they were having a lot of fun with their friends.
The yellow team, the Bowling Green Legends, won the competition and received trophies and medals.
