Arbor Day in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – At Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green, the city will throw its annual Arbor Day Celebration.
City Arborist Jared Weaver told News 40 that the city will give out 1,200 saplings for free, In true Arbor Day spirit, the event is to celebrate trees and all the great things they do for society, helping to clean water supplies and our air.
Weaver said there will be other groups around as well, including Bike BG for the kids to have some fun outdoors. Bowling Green Municipal Utilities will be out at the park to offer advice on “Right tree right place”, making sure residents know how to safely plant around their home.
The day starts at 9 a.m. and goes until noon.
