BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new app developed by Western Kentucky University students to help track the eclipse is now available for download on iOS devices.

The SunSketcher app can be found on the App Store. This app is part of a NASA-funded project to capture images of the eclipse taking place on April 8.

Volunteers in 12 states along the path of totality will use the app to take pictures and send them to WKU to allow them to measure the size and shape of the sun.

You must be in the path of totality to use the app, so if you happen to be in the Paducah or anywhere along the path, you can download the app for free.
