Annual mental health and aging conference meets in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Health professionals gathered in Bowling Green Thursday to discuss mental health and aging.
The conference has been a yearly event put on by the Barren River Mental Health and Aging Coalition.
Participants discussed many topics, including veterans, homelessness and the Anchor Project, which is bringing a new mental health facility to Bowling Green.
Hollie Smith, assistant director of aging services with BRADD, said, “Aging is not easy, and so, we bring together a lot of professionals in our community to learn more about what they can do to assist the aging population in those mental health topics.”
The Barren River Mental Health and Aging Coalition is always looking for new partners. You can contact the BRADD office for more information.
