Annual Fur Ball returns to raise funds for Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society works for the safety and welfare of animals in our area, and it made a great advance toward that on Saturday with its annual Fur Ball event.
The over 700 tickets sold out before they were actually on sale.
The night at the Sloan Convention Center included food, drinks, live music and auctions, all to raise money for the humane society’s important work.
Director of the humane society, Lorri Hare, says, “It really does keep our doors open and our adoption center because that building is run solely on donations. So it’s extremely, extremely important. Without this, I really don’t think we could keep those doors open. And that means thousands of lives would not be able to be saved.”
The humane society has faced multiple code reds after high intakes throughout the past year, making the event all the more important.
Hare said she felt like this year’s Fur Ball would set a record.
If you missed out on this event, you can still do your part through adoption or donations.
