Allen County man indicted on drug trafficking charges

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – An Allen County man has been indicted on charges dating back to an incident in August.

On Wednesday, Dec. 14, Timothy E. Austin, 49, of Scottsville received an indictment on charges of possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to court documents, Austin allegedly possessed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine on Aug. 15 in Allen County with the intent to distribute it. The documents also state he is charged in relation to possessing a semiautomatic pistol after a felony conviction.

Austin remains in state custody. If convicted, he faces a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life in federal prison.

The case is being investigated by the DEA and the Allen County/Scottsville Crime Task Force.
