Adkins touts experience and career during Bowling Green Rotary Club meeting
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Bowling Green was a stop along the campaign trail Wednesday for Gubernatorial hopeful, State Rep. Rocky Adkins.
The state legislator visited the Bowling Green Rotary Club’s weekly meeting at Bowling Green Country Club.
Adkins spoke for about 30 minutes as to why he believes he’s the best candidate to win the May 21st Democratic Primary.
In front of Rotarians, Adkins discussed his upbringing in Kentucky and his career in the state legislature.
With primary day quickly approaching, Adkins said this entire campaign experience has been humbling.
“We’re having fun on the campaign trail,” Adkins said. “Pressure is a privilege. Playing basketball at Morehead State University and inside Diddle Arena is something not everyone gets to experience. This is another one of those lifetime experiences that I’ll be able to look in the mirror when I win and say ‘what an experience this has been.'”
Next week, Bowling Green Rotarian will welcome former State Auditor, Adam Edelen, and the following week, Attorney General Andy Beshear, both of whom are running in the Democratic Primary as well.
