BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department says it has made an additional arrest in connection with the death of a Bowling Green woman.

On Thursday, BGPD says it arrested Tiffany McCoy, 38, of Bowling Green as a result of an ongoing investigation after the death of Jazzmyne Rose Fikes.

Police say they responded to the 400 block of Gary Avenue Sunday and found Fikes in cardiac arrest, but she was not able to be recucitated.

Fikes, who was bedridden due to a health condition, was malnourished and severely underweight with severe bed sores located on her back, police say.

According to BGPD, McCoy told authorities she would help with Fikes’ care through cooking for her, feeding her and changing her.

Earlier this week, Lonnie and Alexander Leonard were also arrested after police say they claimed to have caretaking roles for Fikes. According to authorities, Lonnie Leonard told police he was a hired caretaker for Fikes, while Alexander Leonard said he was a “caregiver” when Lonnie Leonard was unavailable.

All three remain in the Warren County Detention Center and face a charge of knowingly abusing/neglecting an adult by a person.
