Further details released after 1 detained, 1 dead in Glasgow shooting
GLASGOW, Ky. – Glasgow police have released further details surrounding a deadly shooting Friday night.
Around 6:50 p.m., the Glasgow Police Department responded to the 1000 block of North Race Street for a report of a man who had been shot.
After arriving, police say they determined James E. Campbell had been in a verbal fight with the victim, Roger L. Noland. Police say Campbell then shot a firearm, which struck Noland.
Noland of Scottsville was transported by Barren/Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where police say he was pronounced dead.
Campbell of Glasgow was arrested and has been charged with murder and two counts of wanton endangerment.
He remains in the Barren County Detention Center with no bond.
