Deputies make felony drug arrest following traffic stop

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – At about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday deputies with Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office saw a vehicle traveling on Morgantown Road in Brownsville with no visible license plate.
As blue lights were engaged to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle, law enforcement observed the driver throw
something out of the vehicle. The thrown-out item was discovered to be suspected methamphetamine, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Willie Ray Lindsey, 38, of Brownsville, according to the release. Deputies also found drug paraphernalia with suspected drug residue inside the vehicle.
Lindsey was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance first offense (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence, according to the release.
Lindsey was also served a Logan County criminal summons on a charge of theft of services, as well as another criminal summons out of Edmonson County, stemming from a recent grand jury indictment on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia charges.
Lindsey was lodged in Hart County Jail.
