Two music and arts organizations join forces to create Arts of Southern Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- There’s some big news for music and performing arts lovers. Two big organizations are joining forces to revitalize the arts scene in the region.

Orchestra Kentucky and the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center are joining forces to create what’s known as the Arts of Southern Kentucky.

This is a single organization that seeks to overcome the challenges to the arts that have come up because of the pandemic. Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon came up with the idea to assist the two organizations by leveraging funds from the Cares Act.

Additionally, Orchestra Kentucky music director Jeff Reed will step in as the Arts of Southern Kentucky’s president and CEO.
