WASHINGTON (NBC News) — Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett made her case Monday on why she should fill the seat once held by the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
President Trump’s third Supreme Court nominee said she plans to stick to the words of the Constitution.

Barrett is a favorite among Republicans, a conservative protégé of the late Justice Antonin Scalia, a mother of seven and a devout Catholic.
Democrats strongly opposed to her opposition are focusing on her previous statements on health care, and how six conservative justices might rule on the upcoming challenge to the Affordable Care Act.
