Roger Federer focusing on 2021, Olympics after 2 surgeries

ZURICH (AP) — Roger Federer is already focusing on the 2021 season as he recovers from two knee surgeries. That includes the postponed Tokyo Olympics. Federer says he is not yet able to play top-level tennis but he is on the mend. He says “I feel much better again.” Federer has won 20 Grand Slam singles titles but has never won an Olympic gold medal in singles. He won the doubles title at the 2008 Beijing Olympics with Swiss teammate Stan Wawrinka. The Olympic final is scheduled for Aug. 1, 2021. Federer was speaking at the launch of a tennis-themed lifestyle shoe he designed.
