WKU Player of the Week: volleyball middle hitter Faith Young

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hilltopper middle hitter Faith Young has earned this week’s WKU Athletics Player of the Week award!

Young and the Tops kept their record perfect in Conference USA with two wins at FIU over the weekend.

The junior led Western offensively in both matches, totaling 26 kills at a .396 hitting clip.

Young’s .426 hitting percentage on the season is the best in all of CUSA.

There’s only been two matches since league play began where she’s finished under .300.

The Harrison, Ohio native has been a major producer for the Tops in 2026, especially of late with 10 or more kills in four of the team’s last five matches.

She’ll look to keep the hot hand as WKU hosts Liberty twice this upcoming weekend, where the Hilltoppers are hoping to clinch the CUSA regular season title.
