Warren County Backpack Program in need of food supplies for students
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Backpack Program is seeking community help to keep some students from going hungry.
According to a social media post on Monday, Oct. 19, the program estimates its inventory for backpack food supplies will reach a critical stage in about two weeks.
Despite supplies currently being in good condition, the program says it will need to prepare for supplies to lessen.
To assist with this cause, the community can donate on Friday, Oct. 23 at Sam’s Club at 3200 Ken Bale Blvd. in Bowling Green. The program says it will be set up on site accepting donations.
The Warren County Backpack Program says the following are requested donations:
- Rice Krispie bars
- Fruit and grain bars
- Strawberry Pop Tarts
- Cheese crackers
- Chewy granola bars
- Boxed mac and cheese
- Ramen noodle packages
- Fruit gummy snacks
