Bowling Green launches first-ever ‘Tricks and Treats Trail’

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Bowling Green community has a new way to explore local fall attractions this season, with a few prizes available along the way.

The Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau has launched its first-ever “Tricks and Treats Trail,” encouraging residents and visitors to experience some of the area’s popular seasonal destinations.

Participants can pick up a trail card and collect stamps by visiting 10 participating attractions across the Bowling Green area, including Lost River Cave, Jackson’s Orchard, Chaney’s Dairy Barn and Beech Bend.

Those who collect four stamps can receive a fall-scented candle, while six stamps earn participants a fall-themed hat.

Carrie Cavitt, tourism director with the Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the idea was to connect activities that many families already make part of their fall traditions.

“It’s already a tradition for someone to go with their family to one of these attractions, so why not get a fun prize out of it?” Cavitt said. “We really just wanted to make it something that kind of ties together a lot of great things to do in the community.”

The trail also gives participants an incentive to explore attractions they may not have visited before while highlighting the variety of fall activities available throughout the area.

Once participants have collected enough stamps, completed cards can be redeemed for prizes at the Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau on Ewing Way.

The Tricks and Treats Trail continues through Nov. 7.
