Warren County Public Library opening cooling centers this week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Public Library is offering a shelter from the heat this week amid expected conditions.
According to the library, it will be opening its cooling centers at two locations this week:
- Lisa Rice Library at 1225 State St. in meeting room one on Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 1-6 p.m., Thusday, Sept. 3 from 1-6 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Bob Kirby Branch at 175 Iron Skillet Court on Wednesday in meeting room three from 1-6 p.m., on Thursday in meeting room two from 1-6 p.m. and Friday in meeting room one from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The library says these locations will also be open for business during regular hours, however, the cooling centers are avaialble as an area to get out of the hot temperatures.
According to the library, the cooling centers will provide ice water, ice pops, places to sit and a rotation of family-friendly films from the DVD collection.
