Air Hydro Power breaks ground on $13 million Kentucky Transpark Facility

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WNKY) – Air Hydro Power and Lebanon Power broke ground Friday on a new 60,000-square-foot facility in the Kentucky Transpark, representing a $13 million investment and creating dozens of new jobs in Warren County.

The facility will serve as a central hub for Lebanon Power’s large electric motor and pump remanufacturing operations.

Air Hydro Power Executive Vice President Jason McGuire said the project is significant for an industry that has seen few new purpose-built facilities in recent decades.

“What you’re witnessing here is the groundbreaking of the first purpose built motor repair facility that’s a greenfield … in probably the last 50 years,” McGuire said.

The facility will be designed for the repair and remanufacturing of large electric motors, including equipment weighing multiple tons.

McGuire said the first phase is expected to create roughly 60 skilled jobs, many of them technical and well-paying positions.

“When we reached full capacity, we will have nearly 60 people with skilled jobs,” McGuire said. “Those jobs are going to be technical jobs … good paying jobs, the kind of jobs to build careers and strengthen families right here in Warren County.”

Former Lebanon Power General Manager Tony Clark said the project represents years of planning and builds on the company’s longtime connection to the community.

“This facility represents years of hard work and strategic planning and our commitment to service across this industry,” Clark said.

Lebanon Power was founded in 1963 by Clark’s parents, Robert and Alice Clark. The company has been part of the Bowling Green community for more than 30 years.

Clark said the expansion will benefit both the company and the region.

“We’re investing in the future of south central Kentucky, and we’re committed to over 50 new jobs that will support our local families, the local community, and our growth for decades to come,” he said.

Air Hydro Power acquired Lebanon Power in 2023. The companies’ motor and pump division combines decades of experience in electric motor services.

McGuire said the investment is part of a larger strategy for the company in Bowling Green.

“This is just the beginning for us,” McGuire said. “We’ve already … planning our next project in Bowling Green.”

Construction is expected to be completed around July or August 2027. Company officials said a second facility could eventually be built, potentially bringing the total number of jobs into the hundreds over the next decade.

Warren County Judge-Executive Doug Gorman said the project adds to the economic impact of the Kentucky Transpark, where thousands of people already work.

“We’re excited about this investment,” Gorman said.

Lebanon Power was acquired by Air Hydro Power in 2023. The new facility is expected to expand Air Hydro Power and Lebanon Power’s ability to serve manufacturing customers throughout the region and beyond.
