FRANKFORT, Ky. – According to a release from the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, health officials have confirmed an ongoing measles outbreak in the state.

Officials say 19 cases have been reported in 2026, the highest total since 1991.

15 cases of measles have been reported in the last four days in Christian, Owen, Todd, Trigg, and Washington Counties, according to the release. Four of the cases were reported in Jessamine County earlier this year.
