Man charged with murder in death of 1-year-old in Allen County

Williams

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – On Monday evening, the Allen County-Scottsville Criminal Investigations Division announced an arrest warrant charging 22-year-old Deavan Williams with murder in the investigation of the death of 1-year-old Mason Moulding.

The division says a judge found probable cause to issue the warrant based on evidence.

Authorities responded to a report of an unresponsive child, Mason Moulding, at a home on Cottage Drive Monday, July 27. First responders were unable to revive Moulding.

Following an investigation, authorities arrested Williams and Moulding’s mother, 22-year-old Alexandrae Price, on first-degree criminal abuse (child 12 or under) charges.

Detectives say the child was living in unsanitary and dangerous conditions and subjected to extreme neglect.

On Friday, July 31, authorities obtained a warrant for the home where over a dozen animals were seized from the same home, including three dogs, 12 cats, and a possum.

Two adult males with autism were removed from the house and are in a safe place.

51-year-old Tina Price was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse, multiple counts of animal cruelty and two counts of knowingly neglecting a vulnerable adult.

All three suspects are lodged at the Simpson County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
