Bowling Green man charged in child sexual exploitation investigation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WNKY) — A Bowling Green man is behind bars after Kentucky State Police say the suspect was sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.

According to a release from Kentucky State Police, the arrest happened as a result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.

KSP’s Electronic Crime Branch searched a residence in Bowling Green on July 13 and found equipment used to facilitate the crime.That equipment was then confiscated and taken to the state police forensic laboratory for examination.

Authorities say 57-year-old Jackie Wayne Bloodworth is charged with ten counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old, one count of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means (Class-C felonies, punishable by five to ten years in prison) and ten counts of promoting a minor under sixteen years of age in a sex performance (Class-B felonies, punishable by ten to twenty years in prison). 

Bloodworth remains lodged in the Warren County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
