Auction to benefit BRAWA to help increase pet adoptions

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – One local animal shelter is working to increase adoptions, and an upcoming auction can help it reach its goal.
The Hive Coffee & Bakehouse in Glasgow is auctioning off a prize package to help fund the Barren River Animal Welfare Association’s new website and professional photography, all to encourage adoptions of animals in its care.
The prize package includes the following, according to organizers:
- A Sunny & Stoked T-shirt donated by The Henry & Clark Foundation, autographed by Sunny, Henry & Clark.
- A $50 Hive Coffee & Bakehouse gift card.
- Two evergreen passes to The Grove music venue, good for any show of the winner’s choice.
- Two admission tickets to Haunted Oaks of Bon Ayr, valid for any night of the 2026 haunt season. It opens the last weekend of September and every Friday and Saturday in October.
One hundred percent of the winning bid will go directly toward making BRAWA’s project a reality, according to organizers.
The coffee shop says the new website for the shelter will aim to help get more animals adopted, along with making it easier to volunteer and foster and improving online donations.
The local business’s overall goal is to raise $500 for BRAWA.
The business says bids start at $50, with a minimum bid increase of $10. Those who are bidding can place a bid by commenting below a social media post by clicking here.
According to organizers, the highest bid when the auction closes at 8 p.m. CDT on Sunday, July 19 wins the prize package.
The winner will be contacted via Facebook Messenger and will have 24 hours to complete payment. If the payment isn’t received, organizers say the next highest bidder will be contacted.
The prizes mentioned are all thanks to donations from their respective nonprofits and businesses.
