Man charged with DUI after reported crash into Horse Cave home

HORSE CAVE, Ky. – One man is facing multiple charges after allegedly crashing into a Horse Cave home while under the influence.
According to a uniform citation, around 7 p.m. Friday, the Kentucky State Police was dispatched to a single-vehicle wreck where a vehicle had struck a house at 309 W. Main St. in Horse Cave.
Authorities say upon arrival, they found a vehicle that had completely entered a home.
Troopers say the driver, 34-year-old Chase Webb of Scottsville, smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages.
According to authorities, Webb was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Authorities say the vehicle contained open vodka containers, along with narcotics.
Webb was transported by EMS to Caverna Memorial Hospital.
While there, authorities say Webb made verbal threats toward law enforcement. Following medical clearance, he was transported to the Hart County Jail.
He faces charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, fourth or greater offense, third-degree assault of a peace officer – communicable bodily fluid, reckless driving, failure to wear a seat belt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, second offense, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle prohibited, third-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree disorderly conduct and first-degree criminal mischief.
