Man arrested after allegedly using machete during robbery in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – One man is behind bars in connection with an alleged robbery that occurred Tuesday night in Clarksville, Tennessee, police say.

According to a social media post by the Clarksville Police Department, the robbery occurred at the EZ Market at 1801 E. Boy Scout Road. Police say upon arrival, they located a store clerk with several lacerations.

Authorities say the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Aaron Boodoosingh of Clarksville, was arrested on Wednesday.

Police say an investigation determined Boodoosingh used “a machete during an aggravated robbery.”

He has since been charged with especially aggravated robbery and was lodged on a bond of $150,000, police say.

Authorities say the store clerk remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. He was last reported to be in stable condition, according to police.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are possible. No further information is available for release at this time.
