Community Partners for Recovery provides and promotes lifelong recovery

GLASGOW, Ky. – Community Partners for Recovery is a recovery community center that’s a trusted, safe space for people who are battling addiction. Whether you’re struggling directly or know someone who’s struggling, having a non-clinical facility to visit can make a massive difference.

Co-founder and Executive Director Libby Short says, “It doesn’t matter if you’re new to recovery, long-term recovery, or even if you’re still in active addiction. We encourage people to come through these doors. For those who have been through the recovery phase, you know, we’ve got so much to offer and programs. And for those who haven’t. We want to be able to plant that seed of just how beautiful life can be. Once you move into that recovery phase.”

Getting into recovery isn’t an easy step, but with open recovery centers like these, which provide small groups, opportunities to give, art programs, and so much more, people have an opportunity to fight against a chronic disease.

Stacy Gordon, the lead recovery coach and program director, tells us, “I myself am in recovery. So, being in recovery, like my own, my own story, you know? Over 20 years, you know, in and out of addiction, and the cliche saying, you know, you had to give it away to keep it like that, is real.”

Community Partners for Recovery is a free resource that’s open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and more details can be found on their website.
