Mammoth Cave National Park offering free Discovery Tour on Memorial Day

MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. – This Memorial Day, Mammoth Cave National Park says it is offering a Discovery Tour free of charge.

According to the park’s social media, the deal will be offered on Monday, May 25.

Park officials say the public can experience the “world’s longest cave” through a “half-mile, self-guided tour.” Rangers will be stations along the route to answer questions and explain underground features, according to Mammoth Cave National Park.

According to the park’s social media post, no reservations are required.

The opportunity will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CDT.

The post states visitors should be prepared for some features of the tour, including navigating over 100 stairs and a steep hill climb. To learn more, click here.
