Man formerly of Logan County allegedly sends threats against Russellville to Los Angeles television station

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A man formerly of Russellville allegedly threatened violence against the city.

According to a social media post, the Los Angeles Police Department contacted the Russellville Police Department, saying that Louis Anthony Mason, Jr., formerly of Russellville, allegedly sent threats against Russellville to CBS Los Angeles.

Mason allegedly called the television station and sent a package containing information regarding threats of violence against Russellville to happen on June 3, 2026.

RPD says evidence indicates that Mason resides in Los Angeles, and the LAPD is attempting to locate him.

The investigation is ongoing.
