Man arrested after allegedly using fake money at Clinton County business

CLINTON COUNTY, Ky. – The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on forgery and drug charges Thursday.
According to a release, CCSO began an investigation after counterfeit money was reported at a Clinton County business.
Sheriff Ricky Marcum says a search warrant was obtained and led to the arrest of 70-year-old Jack Renoir.
Renoir’s is charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, 1st Degree
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree — Methamphetamine
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree — Methamphetamine
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Cultivation of Marijuana, Less Than 5 Plants, 1st Offense
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Criminal Possession of a Destructive Device / Booby Trap Device
- Possession or Use of a Radio Capable of Sending or Receiving Police Messages
Sheriff Marcum says the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
Renoir is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
