Med Center at Bowling Green to host Hospital Week celebrations

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With Nurses Week and Hospital Week taking place through next week, The Medical Center at Bowling Green is planning a week of celebrating its employees.
Med Center Health says this is a yearly time to recognize “the best of the best” of The Med Center at Bowling Green. Multiple awards will be given out, including Nurse of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Clinical Support Staff of the Year.
According to Med Center Health, the following events will take place:
- Frozen treat for employees: May 11. Day shift from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and night shift from 9 to 11 p.m. Staff members can go to the cafeteria for a free ice cream treat. Regular and sugar-free options will be available.
- Nursing Awards: May 11 at 1 p.m. at MCBG Auditorium.
- Gourmet cookie treat and Wicked Brew coffee truck: May 12. Day shift form 9 to 11 a.m. and night shift from 9 to 11 p.m. Staff members can go to the auditorium for a gourmet cookie treat and a ticket to get a hot or iced coffee from Wicked Brew at the Main Entrance Courtyard.
- Hospital Week Street Fair: May 13 at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the main entrance.
- The fair will feature food trucks, outdoor games and music to thank employees.
- Groovy Gus Donut Bus: May 14. Day shift from 9 to 11 a.m. and night shift from 9 to 11 p.m. Staff members can go to the main entrance courtyard to get a sweet treat.
- Bed Races on Parking Garage Fourth Floor: May 15: Staff members can get a team together and come out for bed races. There can be a maximum of four people per team, and they do not have to be from the same department. Races start at 1 p.m. Awards will be given to the fastest team and best team costume.
