Woman charged in Bowling Green shoplifting investigation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One woman is behind bars following a shoplifting investigation in Bowling Green.
According to a social media post by the Bowling Green Police Department, officers arrested 27-year-old Alethea Hatfield Goodnight Tuesday morning.
Police say the arrest resulted after an investigation into multiple shoplifting incidents.
According to authorities, Goodnight, who was employed as a Spark delivery driver, is accused of scanning items for customer orders, charging customers and keeping merchandise for herself instead of delivering.
Police say Walmart Loss Prevention reported four separate incidents occurring at both Bowling Green Walmart locations.
Goodnight was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail on charges of theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting (between $1,000 and $10,000).
The investigation remains ongoing.
