Glasgow woman arrested after allegedly breaking into storage unit

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow woman is facing criminal charges after breaking into a storage unit.

According to a press release, a Glasgow Police Department officer was on patrol when a female was observed removing items from a storage unit on Kentucky Street on May 4.

The officer says the lock on the storage unit had been cut.

During the investigation, the officer identified the woman, 33-year-old Megan Thomas of Glasgow, as the suspect.

The officer says Thomas had stolen items and suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Thomas was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition of all others $1,000 < $10,000, possession of burglary tools, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of a controlled substance, and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

Thomas was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
