3 arrested on sexual abuse charges in Fleming County

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating sexual abuse allegations in Fleming County.
According to KSP Post 8 Morehead, a new report of sexual abuse allegations was received during an active investigation of James Barnes Sr. Barnes fled to Alabama in 2023.
Troopers responded to River Road and interviewed 39-year-old Joseph McClure, of Flemingsburg, on Tuesday.
Following the interview, troopers arrested McClure and transported him to the Mason County Detention Center.
Joseph McClure is charged with first-degree incest, rape, third-degree sodomy (attempt) and third-degree terroristic threatening.
38-year-old Aarin McClure was also arrested. She was transported to the Mason County Detention Center.
Aarin McClure is charged with first-degree failure to report child dependent neglect/abuse.
The investigation is ongoing.
