Portland man arrested following investigation into sex offender registry violations

PORTLAND, Tenn. – A Portland man is in custody after allegedly violating sex offender registry requirements.
According to a release, the Portland Police Department received a tip from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) that led to the investigation of William Christopher Guy, of Portland.
Officials say Guy allegedly violated Tennessee Sex Offender Registry requirements.
PPD says an investigation of Guy led to probable cause of violations, and he was arrested.
Guy is charged with two counts of attempted especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, and multiple counts of sexual offender registration form violations.
PPD says Guy’s bond is set at $200,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
