2 transported after collision in Graves County

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. – Multiple agencies responded to a collision Sunday in Graves County.
According to a social media post by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday at 5:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to an injury collision on Interstate 69 at the Hickman County and Graves County line.
Authorities say part of the collision occurred in both counties.
Deputies say the collision occurred when 56-year-old Mickey Noonan of Hickman was driving a vehicle northbound on Interstate 69. According to the sheriff’s office, at the same time, 73-year-old Robert Bowers of McAlpin, Florida, was driving a tractor-trailer.
Bowers was reportedly also northbound on I-69 and was traveling in front of Noonan, authorities say.
The sheriff’s office says due to an area of heavy fog, Noonan was unable to see Bowers and crashed into the back of Bower’s trailer.
Authorities say Noonan’s vehicle sustained heavy damage while Bowers’ trailer had moderate damage.
Noonan and his passenger, 44-year-old Angela Noonan of Hickman, were transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by Mayfield/Graves County EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Bowers was not injured, authorities say.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by Hickman County EMS, the Water Valley Fire Department, Hickman County Fire / Rescue and Mayfield/Graves County EMS.
