Barren County High School hosts fourth annual Health Sciences Charity Golf Scramble

PARK CITY, Ky. – Barren County High School held its fourth annual Health Sciences Charity Golf Scramble Friday morning at Park Mammoth Golf Club.

Participants were on the green early with a 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and stayed on the course until the afternoon to try and win the tournament.

The golf scramble was started to help raise money for the Biomedical and Health Science programs at Barren County High School for certifications and any other program needs.

Program costs range anywhere in the thousands annually, but through community sponsors and participants, the golf scramble is able to raise anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 each year.

The community of Barren County is able to help with the next generation of healthcare provider through the golf scramble by sponsoring and participating, which will help students get bigger opportunities as they get closer to the next chapter of their lives.

Robert Bauer, biomedical director at Barren County Schools, says, “I think it shows a great commitment from our title sponsors, representing sponsors and just the people that are able to come out and play every year that they’re not only dedicated to our community, but they’re dedicated to the next generation of health care providers.”
