Volunteer at Mammoth Cave National Park’s Earth Day Clean up
MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. – Around the world, millions of people celebrate Earth Day in more ways than one, and right here in south-central Kentucky, a national park is creating space for volunteers to make the world a better place.
Mammoth Cave National Park is hosting its annual Earth Day clean up for community members and tourists, offering the chance to participate in Earth Day.
Different groups will walk through the park and pick up debris and waste that may harm animals and plant life.
Molly Schroer, a spokesperson for Mammoth Cave National Park, says, “They’ll be working around our park roadways in our campgrounds, picnic areas, earth day is a global celebration where people are encouraged to be educated about the planet and also, provide some stewardship to help clean up this planet that we live on.”
