GLASGOW, Ky. – The community is gathering together to remember a local teen and those who have been impacted by mental health struggles.

Live Like Elijah, a community candlelight vigil in honor of Elijah Heacock, is scheduled for Thursday, March 19 at 5 p.m. at 115 Beaver Trail in Glasgow.

Heacock, whose death was announced in February 2025, was a sophomore at Caverna Independent Schools. A member of Heacock’s family previously spoke with WNKY News 40 about raising awareness after the loss of a teen described as being known for his “light and love in the community.”

According to organizers, families, friends and community members are invited to take part.

In addition, the vigil aims to raise awareness of challenges children may face, including bullying, sextortion or mental health obstacles.
