1 injured following crash in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – One person sustained injuries in a collision in Glasgow on Wednesday.
Major Terry Flatt says officers responded to the intersection of Happy Valley Road and Lexington Drive following a report of an injury accident.
GPD’s preliminary investigation indicates that a car driven by a 16-year-old juvenile was traveling northbound and pulling out of Ely Drugs parking lot.
The car continued to attempt to go straight when it collided with an SUV driven by Ellain Lazarus, who was travelling westbound on Happy Valley Road.
GPD says the 16-year-old failed to see the SUV and the two vehicles collided.
Lazarus was transported to TJ Samson Hospital for injury treatment.
The 16-year-old did not sustain injuries.
Barren County/Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Fire Department assisted at the scene.
