1 teen dead, three others sustain injuries in fatal Green County crash

GREENSBURG, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a collision that claimed the life of a teen in Green County.

According to a release, KSP Post 15 responded to a three-vehicle crash on KY 88 in Green County Tuesday morning.

KSP’s initial investigation shows that a 14-year-old was traveling west on KY 88 in an SUV. The vehicle entered a curb and lost control, crossing the center line and sideswiping a bucket truck driven by 54-year-old Patrick Elmore, of Greensburg.

The SUV then crashed into a truck driven by 31-year-old Willie Mosier, of Cookeville, Tennessee.

KSP says the truck caught fire and Mosier was able to exit the truck before the fire reached the interior.

The Green County Coroner pronounced the 14-year-old dead at the scene.

20-year old Angelo Forsee, of Russell Springs, who was a passenger in the 14-year-old’s SUV was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries.

Two other passengers in the SUV, 32-year-old Adrian Crew, of Columbia and a 28-year-old Jacob Mann, of Russell Springs, were transported to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment.

Elmore and Mosier did not sustain injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
