Man found dead following structure fire in Hardin County

SUMMIT, Ky. – One man is dead after a reported structure fire Sunday in Hardin County.

According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, just before 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Hardin County deputies responded to a reported structure fire at 53 Summit Baptist Church Road in Summit.

Upon arrival, authorities say they located a dead adult male in the home.

The sheriff’s office stated Monday that the identity of that individual is pending confirmation.

At this time, authorities say no foul play is suspected.

The investigation remains ongoing.
