Logan County man arrested on DUI, reckless driving charges

ADAIRVILLE, Ky. – A Logan County man is facing multiple charges in an alleged incident of driving while under the influence.
According to a uniform citation, on Sunday around 3:37 p.m., the Adairville Police Department received a complaint of a disturbance in progress off of the 200 block of South Walnut Street.
Authorities say a caller stated 61-year-old James Dickerson of Adairville had arrived in a truck and seemed “extremely intoxicated.”
Police say the caller stated Dickerson was “yelling profanities” and “making terroristic threats,” including allegedly threatening to kill her daughter for calling in a welfare check on his family member.
Upon arrival, police say Dickerson had fled the area in his vehicle.
Authorities say they attempted to catch up to him, however, Dickerson accelerated and ran multiple stop signs. Police say Dickerson eventually parked at his residence.
At this time, authorities say Dickerson ran into his home. Police say they entered the home and took Dickerson into custody without further incident.
Following Standard Field Sobriety Testing, authorities say Dickerson was arrested and eventually transported to the Logan County Detention Center.
He faces charges of reckless driving, four counts of disregarding a stop sign, failure to or improper signal, first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, first offense, and second-degree wanton endangerment.
