Glasgow police to conduct traffic safety checkpoints throughout March

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department says it will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints from March 6 to March 31.

The safety checkpoints will include but not be limited to Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway and Happy Valley Road, according to the agency.

Police say during this time, they will be enforcing laws related to operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, licensing of motor vehicles and operators, registration and insurance, seat belt and child restraint and motor vehicle equipment violations.

Traffic safety checkpoints are used by law enforcement agencies throughout Kentucky.
