Bowling Green man charged after reported drug bust at Vito’s Dispensary

Vito Tisdale Drug Bust

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is behind bars after a reported drug bust at a local dispensary.

According to a release by the Bowling Green – Warren County Drug Task Force, the drug task force received several complaints that led to an investigation into Vito’s Dispensary located at 160 River Place Avenue in Bowling Green.

Authorities say the complaints involved the sale of marijuana, marijuana products and hallucinogenic mushrooms.

A few weeks ago, drug task force detectives say they conducted a controlled purchase of hallucinogenic mushrooms from Vito’s Dispensary. On Feb. 23, detectives and a retail inspector returned to the business, the release says.

Authorities say they saw controlled substances in the store and obtained a search warrant.

During the search on Monday, authorities say they worked with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and seized around 20 pounds of marijuana, around 2.2 pounds of hallucinogenic mushrooms, three handguns and a large amount of THC-infused products.

Fifty-year-old Vito Jermaine Tisdale of Bowling Green was arrested.

Tisdale faces charges of trafficking in marijuana (over 5 pounds) – firearms enhancement and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (over 10 dose units – hallucinogenic mushrooms – firearm enhancement).

Tisdale was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail on a $6,000 bond. He has since been released.

The results of this investigation will be presented to the Warren County Grand Jury in the near future by the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. Authorities say additional arrests and charges are expected.
