1 dead after a minivan crashes into a dump trailer in Muhlenberg County

SACRAMENTO, Ky. – One person is dead as a result of a motor vehicle crash in Muhlenberg County.

The Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office requested the Kentucky State Police to investigate a fatal collision near the 6500 block of Kentucky Highway 81 in Sacramento on Feb. 11.

KSP says its initial investigation indicates that a minivan driven by 48-year-old Brandi Eaves, of Powderly, was traveling southbound on KY 81 when it struck the rear of a dump trailer being hauled by a truck.

Eaves was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner.

The investigation is ongoing.
