Alvaton area turn lanes temporarily closed for roadway improvement

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Turn lanes on a Warren County roadway will close temporarily as a project begins Monday.

According to a release, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 is beginning a roadway project to improve dual-left-turn lanes on U.S. 231 Scottsville Road to the KY 9007 Natcher Expressway in Alvaton, Warren County.

KYTC says the lanes will be closed for approximately 7 days.

Left turns will be prohibited during the project window.

KYTC says motorists should expect traffic delays during this time.

The project is a result of severe asphalt rutting due to a large number of vehicles driving on the roadway.
