2 charged with drug possession following traffic stop in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – Two men are facing criminal charges following a traffic stop in Glasgow.
Glasgow Police Department Major Terry Flatt says officers conducted a traffic stop on New Salem Road Saturday.
Maj. Flatt says the officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Officers say they located marijuana and a 9 mm handgun during a search of the vehicle.
30-year-old Charles Ballard, of Glasgow, was arrested and is charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree 2nd offense (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, obstructed vision and/or windshield, possession drug paraphernalia, possession of handgun by convicted felon.
31-year-old Nathaniel McCandless, of Glasgow, was also arrested and is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine).
The investigation is ongoing.
