Third man arrested in investigation of alleged sexual assault of a minor

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with rape following an investigation.

According to a release, the Bowling Green Police Department began investigating a possible sexual assault of a 14-year-old female.

On Jan. 29, BGPD detectives arrested 37-year-old Prince Byakubire and 32-year-old Paluku Augustin on sexual abuse and assault charges related to the alleged incident.

Public information officer Ronnie Ward with the Bowling Green Police Department says detectives arrested 25-year-old Malipo Bahinde of Bowling Green in connection with the incident.

Bahinde is accused of having sexual intercourse with the female juvenile victim on Jan. 27.

Bahinde is charged with third-degree rape. He was lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
