Kentucky State Police Post 3 to conduct traffic safety checkpoints

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is reminding drivers it will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints in the Post 3 area.

KSP Post 3 serves Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Simpson and Warren counties.

The agency says the checkpoints serve as a proactive measure for safety, saturating problematic areas with general patrol tactics.

According to KSP, the checkpoints focus on driver impairment, vehicular equipment deficiencies, such as confirming appropriate registration and insurance of vehicles, and valid licensing of drivers.

Other violations of the law and other public safety issues will also be addressed, the agency says.
