Tractor-trailer collides with firetruck in Nelson County

NELSON COUNTY, Ky. – A tractor-trailer reportedly collided with a Northeast Nelson firetruck on Thursday.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office says it responded with Nelson County Fire Department and Nelson County EMS to separate injury collisions.

Deputies say the first collision was near the 35.7 mile marker on Bluegrass Parkway, where a tractor-trailer collided with a Northeast Nelson Fire Department truck.

The second collision was on New Haven Road, where authorities say a large piece of ice left the top side of a large box truck and landed in the windshield of a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

Deputies say all parties involved had non-life-threatening injuries.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office reminds drivers to be cautious and to clean off vehicles before traveling.
